About Us
Hoyo’s Cuisine is a woman-owned business first established in 1980 by Chef Qamar, affectionately known as Hoyo (mom), in our mother's village in Somalia. Following the civil war, our family was forced to close the restaurant and flee to the U.S. in search of safety. In 2019, we began rebuilding by sharing our specialty recipes right in the heart of the welcoming Phoenix community.
